2. Continue to prepare for our Remembrance Day assembly by rehearsing the poem Please Wear a Poppy. It is posted in last week's agenda items. If you would like to be one of the actors, practice possible actions and speaking with strong expression. Parents are welcome to attend the assembly which takes place on Friday morning, November 10 at 11:00.
3. All students in the school will be writing a small message about who they will be honoring during the Remembrance Assembly. It is important to have these conversations about your family's history. We will be choosing 3 students to present a short speech about relatives or friends who were or are serving in any war or peacekeeping efforts. We also discussed that stories about those of us who are helping the war against poverty or hunger will be welcome. Pictures and information regarding what they did/are doing and where they were/are stationed will be necessary. Pictures can be scanned/ sent digitally!
4. Math tests were reviewed and corrected today. They will be sent home tomorrow to get signed.
5. We started our study of wetland animal life cycles. You are welcome to explore the internet for the life cycles of other wetland plants and animals.
6. Please return field trip and patrol forms.
7. Please rummage through your cupboards and find some canned or packaged goods to bring to school for the vetran food bank. Thank you!
