1. Finish SS work on truths and a lie for the 6 different regions. (Some students were sick and unable to complete last week.)
2. Finish 4 frame for chapters 1-2 ( Some students were sick and unable to complete last week).
3. Let me show you a cool way to add a list of 10 consecutive numbers. We discussed and examined using efficient methods of calculation- which strategy do you like to use?
4. In chapter 3 we read about the Council Edifice. What type of building do you think this was? What do you think of Vandara's accusations of Kira? Do you think the council guardians will believe her? Why or why not? There are no right or wrong answers to these questions. I just want you to think about the story on your own. We will discuss our thoughts in class tomorrow before we finish the rest of the chapter.
5. Tomorrow, Ben's grandma, Dr. Anne Fanning-Binder will come for a visit to our class. She just received the Alberta Order of Excellence for her lifetime work as a global expert in tuberculosis and fighting lung disease. Ben has prepared a small presentation, and Dr. Fanning- Binder will tell us about her work. If you are interested in learning more about her life's work, you are welcome to read this article: www.ualberta.ca/medicine/news/2017/october/anne-fanning-binder-joins-alberta-order-of-excellence
