1. Practice reading our remembrance day poem. I have pasted it into our blog. You can print it off so you have a copy at home. Remember. if you want a speaking or acting part, you need to be prepared for Monday.
2. Here are 3 questions from the novel study to think about and/or discuss at home:
a.) What did Kira's mom mean when she said "Take pride in your pain, you are stronger than those who have none."?
b.)What did Matt mean when he said Vandara's "a hard one". Explain how Vandara is hard.
c.) While pain has made Kira strong, Matt said that pain made Vandara cruel. Do you agree with this? Why?
3. For our next Social Studies adventure, I would like you to have a conversation with your parents about why your family lives in Calgary. Next week we want to discuss all the many reasons for why we have made Calgary our home.
